Industrial Fire Fighting

  • Industrial Fire Fighter Refresher – 16 to 32 hours

    For personal already experienced as fire brigade members, this short course is a refresher for those who need to annual training requirements. It provides extensive and challenging flammable liquids live-fire training to fire fighters who do not need comprehensive classroom instructions.


    Persons attending this course need to know basic hose handling, nozzle/water stream control, proper use of PPE and characteristics of flammable liquid fires.


    This course emhpasises on :

    • Fire Fighter Safety, teamwork, hose handling and effective streams for controlling a variety of fire ground situations.
    • Standard industry practices and appliances to combat a variety of live flammable liquid and gas fires.
    • Strategies and tactics to safely direct and incident

    Target Audiences:

    Fire brigade and HSE members who require live-fire flammable liquid training; firefighters seeking to expand their skills in Class “B” fires.

  • Advanced Exterior Industrial Fire Fighter – 32 hours

    Course Code- IFF032AE


    This course builds on the skills in Entry Level Industrial Firefighter,with increasingly complex live-fire evolutions.


    Training focuses on live fires, tactical drill and advanced techniques in a controlled environment. Training meets select internationally followed NFPA 600 standard for Industrial Brigades, NFPA 1081 standard for Industrial Fire Brigage Professional Qualifications and OSHA 1910.156 requirements for fire brigades.


    Includes Advanced exterior fire-fighting, interior fire attack, use of self-contained breathing apparatus and foam application.


    For Company officers, Fire Brigade and HSE members for training and experience fighting Class B flammable-liquid fires and storage facility fire fighting.

Emergency Response

  • Emergency Response Team (ERT) Trainng – 32 Hours

    Course Code -ERT 032


    For members of Industrial Fire Fighting, Rescue and Hazmat Operations this course provides advanced training to hone skills and enhance team coordination.


    Challenging and Realistic, Field Training Experience, Physically demanding, Participants get to spend extensive time wearing protective ensembles and SCBA, which is normally not done in any industry for practice and also by training institutes in India.


    This course emhpasises :

    • Advanced hazmat response problems; transportation and fixed-facility incidents.
    • Rope Rescue exercises; basic and advanced rigging; complex high-angle situations.
    • Confined space rescue; industrial and underground settings.
    • Industrial Fire Fighting team coordination; multiple-source pressurized flammable liquid fires.

  • Crisis and Emergency Management (CEM) – 16 Hrs

HAZWOPER

  • Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response

    HAZWOPER 40- hour
    Hazardous Materials First Responder Operations
    First Responder Awareness (FRA) / Level 1
    AND
    First Responder Operations (FRO) / Level 2


    HAZRES - 040

    The primary target audiences for this course are the First Responders charged with response actions associated with unexpected hazardous materials releases. Students will learn and adapt the knowledge and skill requirements for effective scene and response management. The goal of this program is to provide the First Responder with the training needed to comply with NFPA 472-2008 Chapter 4 and Chapter 5 Competencies for the First Responder at the Awareness and Operations Level, This program is designed to give the First Responder the necessary skills to handle unexpected hazardous materials emergencies in a defensive mode.


    • This course covers the technical aspects of initial response to releases or potential releases of hazardous substances.
    • Training that satisfies the requirments for first responders in accordance with OSHA's 29 CFR 1910.119(n) and 1910.120(q)(6)(ii).
    • Defensive response without attempting to stop a release,including safe containment and prevention of exposures.
    • Basic hazard and risk assessments,control,containment and confinement operations.
    • PPE and fundamental decontamination techniques.

    TARGET AUDIENCE

    Initial responders to hazardous releases; those responsible for handling,storage and transportation of hazmat any employers/employees guided by emergency response plans.

  • Hazardous Materials Technician (HAZ)—40 hours.

    Code—HAZ 202


    Technician and personnel and plant employees who respond to the release of hazardous materials with the purpose of stopping the release and reducing losses.


    This course provides classroom instruction and practical field exercises to enhance overall safety and effectiveness.


    The course emphasizes:

    • Training that meets the requirements for the technicians in accordance with OSHA standards.
    • Pre-emergency planning and the Incident Command System (ICS)
    • Identification, recognition, containment and confinement of hazardous materials.
    • Selection and use of PPE and equipment.
    • Decontamination techniques.

    TARGET AUDIENCE

    Personnel who respond to a hazardous materials incident to control the release; operations-level responders and health, safety and environmental managers; those who store, handle and transport hazardous materials.

  • Hazardous Materials On-Scene Incident Commander

    Course Code - HAZCOM -024


    This course is designed to meet the core competencies for Hazardous Materials Technician and Haz Mat On-Scene Incident Commander as outlined in OSHA 1910.120, Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response.


    Incident command is essential at incidents. This course presents important elements of the Incident Command System (ICS) and focuses on how ICS relates to hazardous materials.


    The course emphasizes:

    • Responsibilities and functions of the ICS in structuring the response.
    • The hazardous materials group and its responsibilities.
    • Incident termination.

    TARGET AUDIENCE

    Responders, response team leaders, environmental managers and supervisors, employers and those expected to respond to hazardous materials incidents.

Production Pipeline / Refineries / Terminals

Course Code - IFF - 032- PPRT


This course is structured for fire problems unique to production and pipeline operations, including water management and ruptures, pump fuel and tank fires, LPG emergencies and electrical fires. Industry-specific instruction and hands-on-training address fire protection needs where manpower and equipment are often limited by the remote location of facilities.


The Course emphasizes on latest techniques in fire control and prevention to ensure personal safety and effective environmental protection and includes hands-on-training with drills and live training fires on props in a controlled industry specific environment.


Target Audiences

Fire brigade members and other employees with pipeline and production fire- fighting responsibilities.


Course Duration – 32 hrs.

Flammable Liquid Fire Fighting Techniques for Municipal & Rural Firefighters - Course Code - MFFF- 032

This special 32 hour course is designed toinclude training for response to sabotage and damage to "soft targets" including truck and rail terminals, pipeline transfer stations and other industrial facilities in municipal and rural areas.


Emergency response staff of municipal and rural fire brigades who have certifications from fireman to Divisional officers OR equivalent from a recognised institution with more than 3 years of experience are eligible for this course.

Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) – 16 Hrs

The course emphasizes:

  • Study of B.A. Set
  • Working of B.A. Set
  • Identification of Different Parts
  • Donning & Doffing Procedure, Pre Entry Test

Rope Rescue Techniques (RRT) – 16 hrs

The course emphasizes:

  • Hardware and Software identification and construction,

  • Rescue knots, rigging, hauling and lowering systems, and patient packaging

Driver Cum Pump Operator

Course Code - DCPO - 14D

This 14 day training program is designed to conduct training for fireman who have completed a certificate course in firemanship, on management of pump operations while working from/on fire tender.


Target Audience:

Fire brigade members and employees of company who have completed certificate in firemanship and having HMV driving licence.
