The Institute of Fire, Safety & Disaster Management, was established in the year 1998 on the outskirts of Vadodara, a city steeped in culture, humanities and education.

The phenomenal progress and rapid industrialization witnessed in the past four decades, has been an exponential industrial growth in India. The handling and use of a wide range of hazardous material in large quantities, exposure to them and other high tech devices has resulted in numerous unexpected problems for society.
